The certificate in polysomnography is designed for current clinical practitioners and students who are interested in specializing in sleep disorder studies. Both didactic theory and clinical application offered in the program will provide an avenue to gain knowledge, skills, and experience in the expanding discipline of polysomnography. Topics include sleep terminology, sleep structure and disorders, complete patient set-up and monitoring, data acquisition and scoring, and pharmacological and noninvasive interventions.
The Entry-level Radiation Sciences (Medical Radiography), BS, track is a three-year program designed to prepare students to become medical radiographers. The medical radiographer, or radiologic technologist, is responsible for the accurate imaging of body structures on an image receptor. During the third year, students will have the opportunity to select an area of emphasis for additional licensure: Administration & Education, Imaging Informatics (PACS), CT and/or MRI, Mammography with MRI, Cardiac Imaging, Vascular Imaging, or Advanced Medical Imaging.

The student will receive didactic and clinical mentoring in neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. Courses will be a mix of discussion, projects, case studies, and Web-based learning. Students are responsible for finding their own clinical site and radiologist mentor. This is an online/blended program. The rest of the time, coursework is taken online within Loma Linda University's web-enhanced learning environment.
