volunteers helping with this program

Many families in our community experience food insecurity, and COVID-19 has only made things harder. The food and delivery assistance program helps meet food needs by providing fresh produce to hundreds of families in our community. The program is made possible through partnership with other organizations, including Helping Hands Pantry and the Inland Empire Health Plan.

“In times like this, when fuel costs are skyrocketing, when housing is so expensive, even food is expensive, people are just so grateful for this resource. It’s my end-of-the-week opportunity — it’s almost a spiritual experience to see so many grateful people.”

Dates, Times, and Location

Food pickup

Community members can pick up food Fridays from 8 to 11 a.m. in the SAC Health System parking lot.

Food delivery

In partnership with the Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino (CAPSB), our volunteers help deliver between 150-200 food boxes each week.

  • Volunteers pick up food boxes for same-day delivery every Wednesday between 9 and 10 a.m. at the CAPSB Warehouse in San Bernardino.
  • Volunteers may also pick up food boxes at the Institute for Community Partnerships (ICP) at Loma Linda University on Wednesdays between 1 and 2 p.m. and Fridays between 12 and 1 p.m.

Volunteer With Us

Our volunteers help get food to the people who need it most. Sign up on our volunteer portal to distribute food or make food box deliveries.

Deliveries can be made any time throughout the day when the food boxes are picked up and take about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. Depending on the need each week, you'll help deliver between four and six boxes and can deliver more if desired.
