A collaboration between Loma Linda University Health (LLUH) academic researchers and community stakeholders in all aspects of the study, including initiation, design, and dissemination of findings, with the goal of improving the individual and community wellbeing.
Community Engaged Research (CER) is informed by the values of compassion, respect, integrity, excellence, and justice.
To create, promote, and support a culture of community engaged research* at Loma Linda University Health by supporting education and training, building a community of engaged researchers on campus, and providing resources to students, faculty, and community members.
*The term “research” is used broadly to include all types of research and practice that fall under the umbrella of the scholarship of discovery. Examples include: translational research, evaluation research, qualitative and quantitative research among others.
