About Barbara J. Orr, MD

I have been a loyal supporter of LLUMSchool and truly believe in the mission of this intitution.  I have been here since Oct 1972 as Assistant Director of the Emergency Department and then as a Founding member the Family Medicine Department.  I have been the Medical Director of the Faculty Clinic for 10 years and then the Predoctoral Director of Family Medicine for nearly twelve year this summer.  

Student education is one of my passions, as well, as quality, personal whole person care. I strive to inculcate the principles of compassion, excellence, and integrity to their experience. I would like them to understand the concept that patients give and nurture them, as well as, their enriching the lives of their patients. Teach them to enjoy and find the patient as a friend.
