Community Service

  • My Campus Event — Loma Linda University I participated in My Campus, a community outreach program at LLU designed to support underrepresented middle and high school students in the Inland Empire. During this event, I assisted with hands-on activities and educational booths that introduced students to various healthcare professions. I also had the opportunity to share my personal journey into dental hygiene, answer student questions, and offer insight into pursuing a career in healthcare. This experience allowed me to connect with the local youth, promote diversity in health professions, and encourage students to visualize themselves in clinical and academic roles. (10/2024)
  • Loma Linda University Healthcare Sparks    As a volunteer with Healthcare Sparks, I worked with elementary school students to introduce basic science concepts in a fun and engaging way. Our session focused on volcanoes—how they form, what causes them to erupt, and the science behind the process. I helped guide students through building their own erupting volcano models, creating an interactive learning experience that sparked curiosity and excitement. This hands-on activity allowed me to support early STEM education while encouraging students from underserved communities to explore science and see themselves in future health and science careers.   (10/2024)

  • Thousand Smiles Mission Trip — Ensenada, Baja California Volunteer providing dental care and support, assisting with patient treatment, instrument sterilization, and mentoring students during community outreach clinics. (11/2024)
