About Christopher G. Martija, BS

I'm a health professions educator and a registered dental hygienist. My master's and doctoral work are both in health professions education, with my current focus being in dental hygiene education. I work across didactic and pre-clinical settings with dental hygiene students. I also support the clinical setting for predoctoral and dental hygiene students. My goal is to continue to strengthen students' ability to transition from a pre-clinical to a clinical setting confidently, so they can perform their skills safely on patients. My current focus is the adoption and implementation of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and virtual/augmented reality, and how they can be used well in health professions curricula.
