Associate Professor, Communication Sciences and Disorders
Dr. Julia Hollister is a full-time Associate Professor in the Communication Sciences and Disorders program and serves as Program Director of the Speech-Language Pathology Doctorate (SLPD) program. She teaches and mentors students at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.
Dr. Hollister’s teaching and research interests include child and adult stuttering, human resilience, reflective learning, and spiritually responsive care. She has more than 20 years of clinical experience as a speech-language pathologist, including work in inpatient and outpatient medical settings and private practice. Dr. Hollister is also an ASHA Board Certified Specialist in Stuttering, Cluttering, and Other Fluency Disorders. She is honored to be a part of each student’s professional journey.
