From 2018 - 2019, over $4.6 million in scholarships was awarded to Loma Linda University students.

Many students don’t think they’ll get financial aid, but there are many support options available. Even if you don’t think you’ll receive financial aid, we encourage you to explore these options and apply as early as possible.

Tip: You can apply for financial aid early — even if you haven’t yet applied to LLU.

Starting Your Financial Aid Application

We accept financial aid applications year round. However, to ensure funding, you need to finish your LLU financial aid application at least 60 days before your program’s class registration date. Applications completed less than 60 days before registration begins will be processed as time permits.

First, submit your FAFSA

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opens October 1 and closes June 30 every year. You should submit your FAFSA as early as possible for the best chance at the most aid. Submitting your FAFSA is a requirement to receive either a Cal Grant or a Pell Grant.

You can and should submit your FAFSA even before applying to LLU. The FAFSA information will be sent to LLU, and we’ll hold onto it until you complete the LLU financial aid application process. When we receive your FAFSA info, we send you a unique LLU PIN you’ll need for that process.

Next, complete the LLU financial aid application process

You can use your LLU PIN to complete the financial aid application process. The good news is, submitting your FAFSA means you’re already done with step one.

Finally, receive your award offer once you’ve been accepted to LLU

Your financial aid award offer won’t be prepared until you’re accepted to LLU. Your offer may include FAFSA awards and awards from LLU, like scholarships.
