About Reema S. Younan, DDS, MSc

I am committed to serving my students and patients with integrity, compassion, and excellence. Guided by faith, I strive to model proffessionalism and to equip students with knowledge, clinical skills, and professional values necessary to serve their patients and communities with competence and compassion. My academic and clinical efforts are guided by a dedication to student success, evidence based practice, and the continuous improvement  of educational outcomes.

Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in the instruction and coordination of predoctoral and international dental programs, with a particular focus on operative dentistry, restorative proceedures, dental materials, and pre-clinical competency development . I strive to create learning environments that foster critical thinking, clinical judgment, professionalism, and lifelong learning.

In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I contribute to curriculum assessment, accreditation efforts, examination developement, faculty calibration, and quality improvement initiatives. Also, I have served as ADEX Dental Board Examiner, participating in the assessment of clinical competency according to national licensure standards. This role provides valuable insight into current examination criteria, candidate performance expectations, and common areas of difficulty encountered during board examinations. Serving as examiner has enhanced my ability to align curriculum, instruction, and assessment with contemporary licensure requirements while maintaining fairness, consistency, and professional standards. These activities have strengthened my commitment to maintaining educational standards while promoting innovation and continuous growth within the profession. 

My philosophy of education is centered on mentorship, collaboration, and service. I believe that effective educators not only transmit knowledge and skills but also inspire students to develope intyegrity, compassion, and a commitment to excellence. 

As I reflect on my accomplishments and ongoing proffesional journey, I remain commited to advancing dental education, contributing to the profession, and serving my institution with dedication, integrity, and purpose.
