  • Program Review Committee member and co-chair: I have been a member of the program review committee from its inception, and have recently taken on the position of co-chair. Community Service

  • Community Garden Composting Helped with composting of spoiled produce and other plant waste to provide fertile soil for the community garden locate at the SAC Norton clinic in San Bernardino (06/2022 - 08/2022)
  • Helped with fresh produce distribution for low-income families Located at the SAC Norton clinic in San Bernardino, we packed boxes of donated fresh produce and loaded it into the vehicles of low-income families and church groups (06/2022 - 08/2022)
  • LifeHouse Theater - Performed in numerous theatrical productions in local Christian community theater. Wrote musical play based on "Pilgrim''s Progress" by John Bunyan. Served as volunteer host for the theater.  Performed "Damien" in March of 2008. Performed in "Ecclesiastes" in March of 2009. Damien is the story of a Belgian priest who went as a missionary to Hawaii in the 1800s, and worked with the lepers on the island of Molokai until his death from leprosy in 1889.   • I continue to be involved with dramatic presentations in collaboration with the School of Religion's Humanity Program and the Wil Alexander Wholeness Series. (2013 - Present)
  • Performed "Freud's Last Session" at Loma Linda University, Pacific Union College, Southwestern Adventist University, Burman University and La Sierra University (2016). Most recently, we performed at Loma Linda University in Sept/Oct of 2018. The play, written by Mark St. Germain, is  an encounter between Sigmund Freud (played by myself) and C. S. Lewis, at the outbreak of World War II in London. Based on the book, "The Question of God" by Armand Nicholi. (04/2013 - 12/2016)
  • "To Kill a Mockingbird" - LifeHouse Theater, Redlands, CA Played the role of Judge John Taylor in a local community production of Harper Lee's famous story. (02/2015 - 03/2015) (link)
  • Dramatic Presentation of "Damien", the story of a Belgian priest who worked with the lepers on the island of Molokai, at the Loma Linda University Church. Have since performed this play at a number of other venues, including the Calimesa SDA Church, LifeHouse Theater in Redlands, CA; Air Force Village West (Riverside, CA). Southeast California Conference of SDA retirees weekend at Pine Springs Ranch, and  Anchorage, Alaska. Most recently performed for a Catholic Women's Retreat in Desert Hot Springs, CA.
