  • Coordinating and providing mentorship at the Symba clinic where students provide physical therapy services to the underserved population of San Bernardino. The Symba clinic provides free medical, dental, physical therapy, chiropractic, orthotics and prosthetics, and occupational therapy services to the underserved population in our community. In physical therapy, we have a mentoring program which includes local physical therapists who oversee our third year students mentoring our second year students. This interdiciplinary service learning opportunity enhances the student experience by allowing them to observe and ask questions of other diciplines. Our students also talk with prospective high school and college students from the community who come and observe.  (07/2022 - Present)
