Committee Membership (LLU)

• ED OBS Reimbursement - Director of Observation Medicine and we have started a committee with the objective of decreasing denial rates for Observation Medicine patients. (06/2006 - 06/2007)
• Flow Committee - Develop ways to help with INput throughput and output througout the hospital. We have helped to decrease the Left without being seen by 50%, have increased hospital census and improve patient perfomrance standards. (09/2005 - 12/2006)
• PowerNote ED - We are forcused on documentation ie physician documentations and implementing a paper chart. We go live as of Oct. 2006 (02/2006 - 11/2006)
• Compensation Committee - Created a template for Physician Incentive Based Reimbursement. Currently working with Legal, administration, and the Dean to fnialize process (11/2005 - 11/2006)
• OBSERVATION Medicine Director - Develop and currently the Emergency Department Observation Unit. A short stay unit located next to ED (07/2004 - 07/2005)

Community Service

• Active Member in Church (10/2006 - 07/2007)
• Salvation Army Volunteer - Helped provide first aid to victims of brush fire which occurred in San Diego. (09/2004)
• Co-host of Ask Your doctor Radio Show - A public service braodcast on health topics with Gina Mohr. It is aired by KFROG KTIE each week (07/2004)
