About Mary Jo Schaarschmidt, DNP, CPNP, RNC

I began my career as a nurse serving in the United States Army Nurse Corps and over the past 4  decades have traversed across varied administrative and leadership positions, education roles, advanced practitioner and bedside nurse roles while caring for pediatric and neonatal populations.  I have always loved my profession and the difference I make in the lives of the families I have cared for as well as the healthcare professionals I have helped to train and lead.  My passion is to share my experiences, failures and successes through formal didactic classroom time, intra-professional team building work and personal mentoring in the clinical areas.  I consider it an honor to help bring forth our new generation of health care professionals especially those who have chosen to be a nurse!
