Educational scholars program thru the Academic Pediatric Association 3 year national faculty development program for academic pediatric educators who wish to build their skills in educational scholarship and leadership. The program aims to teach scholars to develop, implement, evaluate and disseminate educational interventions and other types of educational scholarship. (03/2022 - 04/2025)

Research in Academic Pediatrics Initiative on Diversity Conference- funded by the Academic Pediatric Association Academic Pediatric Association funded 2 day conference in Arlington, Virgina with 12 other members of the conference. Met with 7 distinguished physicians and PHDs in their fields and was allowed time for mentoring, Q&A panels, education about research opportunities and funding thru the NIH. (03/2020)

AAP Legislative Day 3 day event in which we advocated for stricter gun control and more money to research gun issues. Lobbied to our national representatives and collaborated on future projects. (04/2019)

PROUD: Pediatricians Reading OUt loud about Diversity LLUCH and DIME collaborative that encourages Pediatric providers (attendings and residents alike) and subspecialist to record themselves reading their storybook of choice with a focus on Diversity so this can be distributed to the community to promote literacy and connection with the community. These books will be read in a variety of languages, starting with english and Spanish with a goal to expand based on patient focus group feedback. (01/2021 - 01/2022)
Keynote Speaker for RUHS Festival of Trees Read and recorded a 5 minute speech for the RUHS Festival of Trees Virtual Gala regarding the impact that this fundraising Gala has made on the pediatric patients in our county. (11/2020)
Diversify, Include, Mentor, Educate (DIME) Co-lead for DIME for LLUCH. Initiative includes revamping educational curriculum and topics to include Diversity of ethnic origin, disabilities, sexual identity and any additional ways to appreciate others as our world and patient populstion become ever more diverse. These lectures are via multiple avenues including Schwartz Rounds, Grand Rounds, Noon conferences and small group sessions. They also include involving a social media platform by utilizing the LLUpedsresidency instagram to highlight the amazing diversity that we have on campus. (07/2020 - 07/2021)
