About Yawen Peng, DMD, MA

It has been one full year since I transitioned from a part-time to a full-time faculty position in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. During this time, I have also taken on the responsibility of assisting Dr. Chen as an Associate Program Director for postgraduate education.

Over the past year, I obtained certification in moderate sedation and hospital privileges at LLU hospitals, and I am currently in the process of applying for clinical privileges at SCD. I have had the opportunity to teach didactic courses to both residents and dental students, participate in residents’ research projects, and attend professional meetings to support our residents during their poster presentations.

These experiences have given me a deeper understanding of the postgraduate program and have allowed me to contribute more meaningfully to the education and professional development of our residents. I look forward to continuing to grow both personally and professionally as I take on these new responsibilities and contribute to the continued success of the program.
