About Michael J. Orlich, MD, PhD

I am a preventive medicine physician and epidemiologist.

In the clinic, I work with patients to combat obesity and prevent chronic disease. To learn more about our clinic, go to: https://lluh.org/services/center-health-promotion

As an epidemiologist, I teach in and direct the PhD program in Epidemiology at the School of Public Health.  I have also helped to study how diet affects our long-term health. To learn more about this research study, go to: https://publichealth.llu.edu/adventist-health-studies

Outside of work, I have a loving wife, a 6 year old girl, a 4 year old boy, and a 2 year old boy.  I love spending time with my family.  My interests include writing poetry, hosting a book club, baking bread, running, and strength training.

I am thankful to be a part of the Loma Linda University team.
