  • ACC 101: Accreditation 101 Accreditation 101 provides an overview of WSCUC accreditation and is a prerequisite for additional training courses for volunteers serving as peer evaluators on accreditation review teams, reviewers for Eligibility, Interim Report, and Substantive Change Committees, and Commissioners.   • EVAL 101: Evaluation 101  Evaluation 101 is a refresher course covering WSCUC's two primary “textbooks,” the 2013 Handbook of Accreditation, and the Peer Evaluator Guide. (08/2019)
  • WSCUC Assessment Leadership Academy The WSCUC Assessment Leadership Academy (ALA) prepares postsecondary professionals to provide leadership in a wide range of activities related to assessment of student learning, from facilitating workshops and supporting the scholarship of assessment to assisting administrative leadership in planning, budgeting, and decision-making related to educational effectiveness. ALA graduates have also provided consultation to the WSCUC region and served on WSCUC committees and evaluation teams; some have moved on to new positions with greater responsibilities. The Academy curriculum includes both structured and institutionally-tailored learning activities that address the full spectrum of assessment issues and places those issues in the national context of higher education policy on educational quality, accreditation, and accountability.   • AIR Annual Forum 2022 AIR Forum presents a unique opportunity to network with peers, share best practices, and learn from practical workshops and sessions led by the field's leading experts. AIR Forum is the “must attend” event for both seasoned and early-career professionals. (06/2022)
  • CAIR 2021 The CAIR conference theme: Using Data for Advocacy represents a call to IR professionals to help institutions close equity gaps and strengthen the institution's role in contributing to the public good. The IR field continues to grow and with that comes great opportunity to broaden the impact of institutional research. (10/2021)
  • AIR Forum 2019 The AIR Forum elevates the innovative and creative work occurring at colleges and universities all over the world. Workshops targeted at building new skills, impact sessions exploring broad, emerging topics, and over 300 peer-reviewed concurrent sessions are presented by experts in the field. (05/2019)
  • WSCUC ARC 2019 The 2018 Academic Resource Conference (ARC) brought together institutional leaders and stakeholders from across the WSCUC region to discuss strategies and practices to support quality assurance, student success, and institutional improvement. The ARC explored how, in the midst of growing public scrutiny, higher education’s mission and value can be strengthened by embracing a renewed focus on results, dedication to access and equity, and innovative programming and policies.   (04/2019)
  • CAIR 2018 The CAIR conference theme: Institutional Research for Public Good represents a call to IR professionals to help institutions ensure student success and strengthen the institution's role in contributing to the public good.   • EDUCAUSE 2018 Educause is the premier convening of IT professionals and technology providers across the diverse higher education landscape. The conference provides networking opportunities for colleagues to share ideas regarding strategies, leading change, effective processes, what's working, and sometimes—more importantly—what isn't. In particular interest to LLU is the enabling the data-driven, decision-making environment emphasis at the conference. (10/2018 - 11/2018)
  • Australasian Association for Institutional Research Forum - Canberra, Australia The theme for this AAIR forum was "Politics, Planning and Performance: Good Governance Starts How?” It included Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and Analytics; Load Management and Government Reporting. In the current political environment universities are reliant on good data governance to underpin performance monitoring and evidence-based decision-making. (07/2018)
  • WSCUC ARC 2018 This conference provides an opportunity to learn how institutions address broad societal needs while also promoting individual student success.   • Pacific Association for Institutional Research Pacific Association for Institutional Research (PacAIR) Conference provides a forum with many outstanding presentations and speakers. This year’s theme is “Pathways to the Future” and focuses on secondary/postsecondary transitions and curricular alignment. This is supportive of LLU’s continuous improvement endeavors. (11/2017)

  • WSCUC ARC 2017 With significant changes occurring throughout higher education, colleges and universities are challenged to hold true to their missions while enabling their institutions to remain relevant and sustainable. The 2017 Academic Resource Conference calls upon WSCUC institutions to highlight and reflect on their missions, and to share approaches for future mission fulfillment and vitality. This convening will also explore the tensions involved for institutions - and for WSCUC as a regional accreditor - in staying true to mission while simultaneously exploring or engaging in necessary change.   • WASC 101 This conference by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges acquainted us with the basics of assessment and the assessment cycle. Additionally the workshop offered an intensive introduction to the vocabulary and concepts of student learning outcomes assessment, as well as the rationale behind the process. (10/2013)
