Associate Professor, Neurosurgery
Doctor Lopez-Gonzalez is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He completed neurosurgery residences both in Mexico and in the United States, first at The National Institute of neurology and Neurosurgery, and later at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He holds board certifications by the Mexican Board of Neurological Surgery and by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. He additionally completed clinical fellowships in cerebrovascular and skull base surgeries at the Arkansas Neurosciences Institute, and epilepsy surgery and functional neurosurgery at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
His broad experience in these multiple neurosurgical fields allows him to treat surgically highly complex neurosurgical diseases dealing with intracranial, skull base, and cerebrovascular lesions, either with minimally invasive or open neurosurgical approaches.
He has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals, as well as book chapters and editorials that exemplify the degree of complexity of some of the procedures that he performs.
