Accreditation Support -- LLU

  • Faculty Mentor/Coach for Pediatric Residents  As a formal faculty mentor/coach for pediatric residents, I support the residency program's accreditation status by meeting with my mentees (2 residents/year with quarterly formal meetings that last 1-2 hours/meeting and additioanl informal meetings); reviewing their progress; and guiding their ILPs at least twice a year per accreditation requirement.   (07/2016 - Present)

  • Medical Mission Trip to Gakoni and Byumba, Rwanda Provided medical care to the orphans in Gakoni, Rwanda Provided free medical care to the indigent population in Byumba, Rwanda (06/2012)
  • Cardiovascular Risk Screening and Medical Mission Work at Caluco, El Salvador Used WHO Cardiovascular Risk Screening Algorithm to screen 200+ residents of Caluco, El Salvador Prepared for pesticide exposure project (12/2011)
  • Tropical Medicine Mission Work in Kenya Spent 4 weeks in Nairobi and surrounding rural areas such as Mutomo and Nguutani, providing medical care to the indigent population living in the slums and in the rural areas Participated in Cardiac Camps that screen children for cardiac defects   (10/2010)
  • Medical Mission Trip to Jalapa, Guatemala Provided free medical care to the indigent population of Jalapa (07/2010)
  • Medical Mission Trip to La Loma Luz Adventist Hospital in Belize Served as the leader of the medical team  Provided pediatric care to community members living in areas surrounding the La Loma Luz Adventist Hospital through various community health clinics Also aided with the painting of a 50 ft by 18 ft mural for the new lifestyle center for La Loma Luz Helped run VBS for local children in the evenings  Rest of our team provided surgical, ophthalmological, and dental care to patients as well as construction and evangelism meetings (06/2025)
