  • California Association of Nursing Practitioners Annual Educational Conference March 2018 This is the annual conference for California nurse practitioners that provides both educational updates and the opportunity to network with both nurse practitioners and nurse practitioner faculty members.  Presented a poster presentation on the implementation of a Song Brown Grant to enhance and improve nurse practitioner students' clinical experiences with Native Americans. Special Projects

  • Primary Investigator for HRSA Grant for Advanced Nurse Education Workforce (ANEW) for $2.8 million from July 2019 through June 2023.  This provides funding to focus on nurse practioner and clinical nurse specialist education focusing on care for medically underserved populations with an emphasis on integratiev behavioral health and helping to manage and eliminate the opioid crisis (07/2019 - 06/2023)
  • Project Coordinator and Clinical Director for HRSA Grant for Advanced Practice Nursing The School of Nursing has been awarded a grant of $2.05 million for a three year period to enhance the preparation of advanced practice nurses to meet the needs of medically underserved communities.  I am the assistant project administrator and the primary DNP/APRN Faculty assigned to administration of the grand and implementation of course and clinical content to meet the grant objectives (07/2016 - 07/2019)
