About Samuel Habimana, MPH, PhD

My primary goal focuses on addressing PTSD and trauma related to war and genocide through community-based interventions that promote resilience, social cohesion, and healing. I primarily apply the Community Resiliency Model (CRM) and nature-based solutions (NBS), while also exploring addiction treatment, trauma recovery, and post-traumatic growth. Additionally, I examine broader health challenges such as HIV, cancer, and malnutrition within their epidemiological context. Using participatory and implementation science approaches, I integrate advanced statistical modeling to inform evidence-based decision-making and support underserved and marginalized communities.
