In response to the growing prevalence of obesity, this literature review examined the obesity stigmas and biases that exist within the physical therapy realm. Obesity bias has been shown to negatively affect the way healthcare providers treat their patients, address patient health, and provide care. Additionally, this literature review was amined to identify different measures used to avoid stigmatization and to aid in the reduction of patient bias to improve the overall quality of care
