About Terrence J. Forrester, MSW
The motto of Loma Linda University to "Make Man Whole" implies certain core values relative to academia and the social work profession. These include pursuing excellence in teaching, integrity in working with students and insuring quality services to clients.
I see it as my responsibility as an educator to assist students in realizing their full potential and in recognizing the value and need for reaching out to others in less fortunate positions. Winston Churchill stated that "We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give". This statement embodies the spirit of giving to others which the Good Samaritan statue on the main campus symbolizes.
Over the past 35 years, I\'ve been very fortunate to have worked in providing clinical and case management services to high risk clients. In addition, I\'ve supervised both trainees as well as social work interns, taught classes in human behavior, clinical practice and supervision, and managed social work programs. It\'s been a privilege to have served others in such varying capacities.
