About Willie L. Davis, Jr., PhD

As a dedicated educator and leader at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy, I am deeply committed to fostering an environment of academic excellence, innovation, and service. With a PhD in Biochemistry, my research interests focus on the molecular mechanisms of obesity and cancer and their profound impacts on health disparities. My passion for teaching is fueled by a desire to empower future pharmacists with the knowledge and skills to make a meaningful difference in diverse communities.

Through my work, including my role in the Hispanic Center of Excellence in Pharmacy, I am deeply committed to expanding opportunities for underrepresented minority students and faculty. I strive to cultivate cultural competence and whole-person care in pharmacy education, ensuring that the next generation of healthcare professionals can meet the unique needs of under served and minoritized populations.

My professional journey is driven by a desire to blend rigorous academic inquiry with a mission-focused approach to health and well-being. These values align with those of Loma Linda University. I look forward to continuing to contribute to the academic and personal growth of my students and colleagues while advancing research that addresses critical health challenges in our society
