My current research interest is to understand the genomic/epigenomic mechanisms on neonatal brain development following fetal adverse intrauterine environmental exposure, such as prenatal e-cigarette exposure, or prenatal delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) exposure. We aim to understand how brain development and neuron-type specification is controlled epigenetically via methylation and histone/chromatin modifications, and how dysregulation of these epigenetic events contributes to neurodevelopmental disorders.
