  • Ad hoc reviewer for the Mechanisms of Cancer Therapeutics B study section (06/2024)
  • Member, Minority Scholar Award Committee  The purpose of the Minority Scholar Awards Committee is to evaluate applications for Minority Scholar Awards Programs offered by the American Association of Cancer Research (AACR).  Members of this committee are tasked with reviewing the qualifications of candidates submitting applications for Minority Scholar in Cancer Research Awards for the AACR Annual meeting and identifying those individuals most deserving to receive the awards.  Such awards provide funding for these individuals to attend the AACR Annual meeting and present their research findings.  (03/2024)
  • Ad hoc reviewer for the Molecular Cancer Therapeutics B study section I served on a review panel at the NIH specifically the National Cancer Institute for Molecular Cancer Therapeutics B (one of 3 different sections of Molecular Cancer Therapeutics) where we primarily evaluate R01 research grant proposals designed to investigate the mechanisms of action of advanced cancer therapeutics across drug classes, and their combinations, in the treatment of human cancer. Most studies focus on cellular and in vivo activity studies including investigations of resistance and toxicity. (10/2023)
  • Served as an Ad hoc reviewer on the NIH SBIR/STTR Cancer Biotherapeutics Developmental Study Section (11/2022)
  • Became a managing editor for Frontiers in Endocrinology (10/2022)
  • Minority and Minority Serving Institution Faculty Scholar Award in Cancer Research This award provided funding for me to attend the Annual American Association for Cancer Research meeting in Atlanta Georgia.  I presented a poster and attended key functions set aside for awardees. (03/2019 - 04/2019)
