Frequently Asked Questions
Open House takes place throughout the Loma Linda University main campus. Parking and check-in are at Centennial Complex.
Open House won’t be livestreamed, but we plan to share recordings of select sessions afterward. If you can’t attend in person, you can still register and we’ll email you when the recordings are available.
No. We encourage you to attend the Welcome Session and at least one program session, where you can meet faculty, hear from current students, and ask any question you have. Stay longer to explore campus and see what it’s like to be a student here.
Yes. You can bring up to two guests. Please include them when you register.

There isn’t one major that works for every LLU program. Choose a path that fits your strengths, interests, and career goals, and check the prerequisites for any programs you’re considering. LLU offers more than 100 certificate and degree programs, including an associate degree in health science and bachelor’s degrees in health science and global health.
At Open House, attend a program session to learn about a field that interests you. If you’re still deciding, you can attend more than one program session. Visit the Enrollment Hub for one-on-one guidance, and if you’re in high school, attend the session for high school students and families.
GPA requirements vary by program. Attend a program session at Open House to meet faculty and recruiters, ask about admission requirements, and learn how your GPA may affect your application. As you explore programs, you may see these terms:
- Minimum GPA: The lowest GPA a program will consider for an application.
- Average GPA: The average GPA of students admitted in a given cycle.
- Competitive GPA: A GPA that may strengthen your application.
LLU looks for students who are academically prepared, passionate about their chosen profession, and committed to serving others. Strong applicants demonstrate integrity, professionalism, leadership, and teamwork, along with an understanding of LLU’s mission and values.
