• Chosen as the 2006 National Honorary Member of the Lambda Beta Society, the National Honor society for Respiratory Care. (09/2006 - 09/2007)
• Chosen as one of the first 38 Fellows in the American Association for Respiratory Care, (FAARC) Dec. 1999. (09/1999 - 09/2000)
• 1973 Received: - Parker B. Francis Fellowship Award for a paper titled "The Bourdon Regulator", from the American Respiratory Therapy Foundation (ARTF). - 3-M Company Advanced Respiratory Therapy Scholarship for a paper titled "Controlling Oxygen Concentrations with an Ultrasonic Nebulizer", from the ARTF. - Bird Literary Award for the article titled Control of Inspired Oxygen Concentration and Addition of PEEP or CPAP, with the Bourns Pediatric Ventilator, published in Respiratory Care, 18:405, 1973. (09/1973 - 09/1974)
