Wanda Abreu (center), a freshman medical student, spent her summer with a group of SIMS students traveling on boats through the tributaries of the Amazon river. The group provided health care to people living in remote areas of Brazil.

The doctors and nurses were absolutely wonderful, patient, and happy to
instruct me throughout my stay. I can't recommend my experience enough
