Fitness Testing

Basal metabolic rate test (BMR)

Basal metabolic rate (BMR) determines the number of calories that are used every day. This test measures an individual's BMR and the information obtained is beneficial for those who want to lose, gain, or maintain weight. This service includes a consultation with the exercise specialist to review the results.

Body composition assessment

Simple weight measurement does not give an accurate measurement of health. Underwater weigh and electrical impedance are the most accurate ways of determining lean body mass and body fat percentage.

VO2 maximal fitness stress test

The VO2 maximal fitness stress test evaluates baseline fitness and anaerobic threshold. Competitive athletes can improve training regimens by determining an accurate exercise target heart rate. This test is performed on either a treadmill, stationary bike or a cyclist may use his/her own road bike.
