Community-Academic Partners in Service

Students for Social Change (SSC)

Students for Social Change (SSC) is an organization consisting of students who are passionate about raising awareness on our campus and in our community of human rights abuses occurring worldwide and local social injustices found within our own community. Not only does SSC strive to bring these issues to light, but we also promote action through social activism and advocacy. Our goals include providing students with experiences that develop the professional tools for a future career in advocacy, being a resource for the community to voice their concerns and passions about social injustices, and, most importantly, representing the ideals laid out by the ministry of Jesus Christ.

How you can get involved

As a student, faculty, or staff member:

LLU students are invited to join SSC, and in doing so, we will keep you up-to-date about SSC events.

As a community partner or alumni member:

Interested persons can help our cause by providing ideas for events and methods to bring about social justice. Ideas are welcome from students, faculty, staff, and community members.
